Obituary for Aleene Toll (McClane)
Helen “Aleene” McClane Toll (88), formerly of Butler, passed away at the Northpoint Healthcare Facility, Lexington Kentucky on April 19, 2023, due to complications of advanced Alzheimer’s and a recent stroke. She was born November 16, 1934 in Pendleton Co., KY and was raised by her grandparents, Walker and Margaret (Lea) McClane and grew up with aunts and uncles which she loved as siblings. Aleene married Albert Gene Toll, truly the “love of her life”, in Covington, KY on September 27, 1952.
Aleene was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Gene Toll, and son-in-law, Robert Wright. She is survived by her three children; Michael (Dianne) Toll, Lexington, KY, Joan Wright, Butler, KY and Marc (Sarah) Toll, Winchester, TN, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Aleene is also survived by her Aunt Martha McGaha and brother, John (Reva) Downard.
Visitation will be held from 1-2pm, Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler, followed by the memorial service at 2pm. Aleene’s final resting place will be in the Butler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators (formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass) or the charity of your choice.
