Obituary for Charles L Cooper
Charles L. Cooper Sr. (90) of Berry, KY passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born in Falmouth, KY on August 23, 1931, son to the late Elbert T. and Helen Routt Cooper. In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by his brother Richard Cooper, sisters Ruby Cole, Nellie Clos and Joyce Toliver.
Charles retired after 20-years in the United States Navy and retired after 16 years with the Department of Defense. He was a member of Antioch Mills Christian Church and the American Legion Post 109.
Survivors include his wife Rubye Bruin Cooper, children Charles L. (Sherry) Cooper Jr., Rodney (Pat) Cooper, Bernardine (Ronnie) Jones, his sister Sandra Toomey, grandchildren Chuck, Timmy, Deanna, Leslie, Kadie and Crisy, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12-2pm Monday, February 21, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral Service begins at 2pm Monday under full military honors, also at the funeral home. Charles’s final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Antioch Mills Christian Church 12785 US 27, Berry, KY 41003.
