Obituary for David Earl Shipp
David Earl Shipp (78) of Falmouth passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on October 2, 1943, son of the late Andrew and Edith Hortense Montgomery Shipp.
David spent his life as a self-employed wood worker, giving to the community and playing music at local nursing homes. He was the author of two published children’s books and enjoyed writing for the Falmouth Outlook. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Medical Service Corp. David lived his life by the moto “Keep on the sunny side”.
He is survived by his children Scott (Jodi) Shipp, Andrew (Katie) Shipp, Laura (Daniel) Clarke and Lelia (Alex) Wendel, grandchildren Charlie, Mae, Catherine, Daniel, Elizabeth and Lily Clarke, Austen, Hudson and Logan Wendel.
Visitation will be held from 12-1pm on Saturday, January 15, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm also at the funeral home. Online condolences can be submitted at www.peoplesfuneralhomes.com.
