Obituary for Delphia Hooten (Young)
Delphia Young Hooten (83) of Walton, KY passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at her home. She was born in Wooten, KY on May 31, 1938, daughter of the late John and Rhoda Wilson Young.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Hooten Jr., brothers Virgil Young, Dealous Young, Alonzo Young, Oscar Young, Manual Young, Enoch Young, Rosco Young, sisters Nora Vaughn and Ethel Osborne.
Delphia was loved and cared for by her nephew Larry Vaughn and his daughter Amber Foley. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Delphia is also survived by her stepson LeRoy Hooten III.
She was a member of Nicholson Christian Church and the Independence Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Visitation will be held 11-12pm Friday January 14, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12pm, also at the funeral home. Delphia’s final resting place will be at Gardnersville Cemetery.
