Gary Rice (71) of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born in Hyden, KY on August 13, 1951, son of the late Carl and Dora Begley Rice. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Stella Rice, sisters Celia Rice, Vonnie Herringer, Cindy LeMaster, brothers A.C. and Leon Rice. 

Gary was a United States Army Veteran, a retired conductor at L&N Railroad and a loving member of AA.  

Survivors include his sons Gary (Maria) Rice II, Alan (Mary) Rice, Jeremy (Krysti) Rice, daughter Alma (Junior) Monyei, brothers Donald, Preston, Johnny and Kenny Rice, sisters Sandy Ashworth, Sharon Kurtz, Jeannie Hubbard, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2pm also at the funeral home. Gary’s final resting place will be in the Gardnersville Cemetery under full military honors.
