James T. Applegate (87) of Falmouth, KY passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler, KY. James was born on January 19, 1935, son of the late Harry and Lottie McMillian Applegate.

James was retired from the Pendleton County Road Department. Along with his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Katie Applegate.
Survivors include his girlfriend Elsie Haubner, children Roger (Melissa Trent) Haubner, Harold (Nikki Abercrombie) Haubner, Melinda & John Lee Hurst, and Cheri Hampton, sister Betty Wesley, grandchildren Ashley & Bradley Barger, Tiffany & William Sparks, Rachel (Jason Dowell) Haubner, Ronald & Josh Hall, Kathrien Haubner, Mary (Logan Stewart) Haubner, Joseph Haubner, Cheyenne Hurst, and John Lee Hurst, great grandchildren Waylon & William Barger, Arianna, William, Alyssa, and CJ Sparks, Italy, Zayden, Jeremy, Shaliegh, and Giovanna Lavizzio, and several nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 11-1pm Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth, KY. Funeral services will follow immediately at 1pm. James’s final resting place will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Online condolences can be submitted to www.peoplesfuneralhomes.com.
