Obituary for James "Sonny" Lonaker Jr.
James “Sonny” Russell Lonaker Jr. (60) of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville. He was born on August 31, 1962, son of the late James Russell Lonaker Sr. and the late Naomi Bruin Wilson.
Sonny was a passionate Kentucky basketball fan as he was always cheering on the cats. He also enjoyed fishing and going on walks.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his brother Terry Lonaker and his grandparents Russell & Hattie Lonaker. He is survived by his sons Sonny Lee and James Lonaker, daughter Chasity Lonaker, sisters Robin King and Kim King, and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am- 1pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at
Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00pm also at the funeral home. Sonny’s final resting place will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, KY.
