Obituary for John A Acton
John A. Acton (85) of Butler, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at his home. He was born in Peach Grove, KY on September 9, 1937, son of the late John Sr. and Bertha Morris Acton. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife Janice Faye Osborne Acton.
John was a United States Army Veteran serving 30 years as First Sergeant 1SG in the Army Reserves. He was Computer Maintenance technician for AT&T and farmer. He is survived by his sons John, Joseph and Jefferson Acton, daughter Jill Acton Jaiswal, siblings Billy Acton and Ruby Acton Baughan, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Service will be 12pm on Monday also at the funeral home. John’s final resting place will be at the Peach Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to; Gary Sinise Foundation PO Box 40726, Nashville, TN 37204 (garysinisefoundation.org) or River Valley Nursing Home 305 Taylor Street, Butler, KY 41006.
