Obituary for Judith Ann Rice (Frederick)
Judith Ann Frederick Rice (82) of Covington, KY passed away Wednesday February 1, 2023 at St Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. She was born in Covington., KY on October 5, 1940, daughter to the late Howard and Mildred Fredrick. In addition to her parents Judi is preceded in death by her husband the late James L. Rice and one sister Donna Frederick Griffin.
Judi is survived by her sisters Pat Frederick Workman of Independence, KY, Linda Frederick of Atlanta, GA and Joyce Wilson of Batavia, OH, nieces Rachel (David) Eglian of Ft. Thomas, Sarah Griffin of Sarasota, FL, Carissa Wilson of Cincinnati, nephews Bret (Julie) Workman of Union, Blain (Ami) Workman of Ft. Thomas, J. Alex Griffin of Los Angeles, CA, Derek Lade of Batavia, good friend and caregiver Jeff Dupps, 10 great nieces and nephews and countless friends who will miss her greatly.
Judi dearly loved her pets which included dogs, cats and horses. She was an avid reader 4-5 books per week. She was a master gardener with an extensive knowledge of horticulture. She had recently discovered a passion for cooking and enjoyed testing new recipes. She loved family gatherings where she always provided hors d'oeuvres.
Visitation will be held 11-1pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will follow at 1pm, also at the funeral home. Judi’s final resting place will be at Gardnersville Cemetery in Gardnersville, KY. Memorials are suggested to SPCA of Cincinnati, 11900 Conrey Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
