Obituary for Kyle Anthony Crowley

Kyle Anthony Crowley, 53, of Cold Spring, KY passed away unexpectedly at his residence on January 10th, 2023. Kyle was born on December 30th, 1969, in Fort Thomas, KY to parents, Joseph Cletus Crowley and Myra Jane Crowley. He graduated from Bishop Brossart High School in 1988 and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Education from Northern Kentucky University and a master’s degree and Rank 1 in School Counseling from Xavier University.

Kyle was as a lifelong educator; first as a teacher, then as a school counselor. Prior to his passing, he was a School Counselor at North College Hill High School in Cincinnati, OH where he was beloved by both students and staff. Kyle had a passion for education. He was a role model and mentor to countless young people. Kyle was a lifelong resident of Campbell County where he was previously active in coaching youth basketball and baseball. He was also a devoted father to his children who brought him much joy.

Kyle loved people. He exemplified the Irish poet W.B. Yeats’s adage that “there are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t met”. Kyle had a smile and laughter that was contagious. His passion for service to others led him to the Cincinnati Reds Organization, where for the past two years, he worked on their seasonal security staff making friends with everyone he met.

Kyle’s legacy will carry on forever in the difference he made in the countless number of young people he worked with. His life reminds us that there is no greater accomplishment than choosing to live a life of love and service to others.

Kyle was preceded in death by his son, Chase Anthony Crowley, and his father, Joseph Crowley. He is survived by his former wife, Monica Crowley, son Chance and twin daughters, Caitlin and Kennedy. He is also survived by his mother Myra Jane Crowley, sister, Colleen (Peter) Crowley Ames, brothers, Patrick (Michele) Crowley, Dr. Michael (Stephanie) Crowley, Dr. Kevin (Rachel) Crowley, and twin brother, Kelly (Emma) Crowley. He is also survived by two foster sisters, Linda (Gary) Robinson and Lucy (Gary) Howard as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held at St. Joseph Parish in Cold Spring KY on Monday, January 16th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Parish in Cold Spring, KY on Tuesday, January 17th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Kyle Crowley Children’s Fund” at any Fifth Third Bank or to the charity of your choice.
