Mark Aaron Yelton (74) of Newport, Kentucky peacefully went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by the precious family he loved so much, at his home, on Monday the 20th of February. Mark was born in Dayton, Kentucky on March 18th 1948, son of the late Edwin Ellis Yelton and Willivene Schill Yelton. Mark loved life and he loved people. His greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He adored them. He was so proud of his 25 years in the fellowship of alcoholics anonymous. His passion for AA was incredible. He was a lifelong follower of Kenutucky football and basketball, and the Green Bay Packers. This brought such joy to his life. He loved music, his guitar, and Merle Haggard.

Mark was a positive, caring, compassionate person that loved life to the fullest. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Susan Wegford-Yelton, a son, Aaron Ellis Yelton, his wife Heather and their four children, Owen, Elise, Keegan, and Kaiya. A Daughter, Laura Ann Faulkner, her husband Rico and their two children Madison (Curtis) and Bailey. A sister, Cheryl Biddle, cousin, Marsha Green, brother and sister in law, Mark and Sharon Wegford.

The family will hold a private burial service on Saturday. Sunday, February the 26th, 2023, the family will welcome friends and loved ones at First Baptist Church in Cold Spring, Kentucky from 2-4pm to share stories and memories. Mark's final resting place will be in the Flour Creek Cemetery in Butler, Kentucky.
