Melvin Mains (80) of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was born in Butler, KY on July 13, 1942, son of the late Hansel and Stella Haley Mains. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Dainty Anita Mains and brothers Randell and Ronnie Mains.

Melvin enjoyed fishing, hunting and UK Basketball. He is survived by his wife Joyce Powell Mains, son Melvin “Bear” (Sarah) Mains, brother David Mains, sisters Margie Rose, Wanda Jones, Katheryn Davis, Joan Brock and Virgilene Bishop, grandchildren Desarae, Brookelyn and Kearsin Mains.

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1pm, also at the funeral home. Melvin’s final resting place will be in the Morgan Cemetery.
