Obituary for Richard Hughes
Richard L. Hughes (70) passed away on December 25, 2021. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on April 6, 1951, son of the late George and Ruth Wetzel Hughes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Fiancé Vivian Kay McMillian Leach (nee Messer).
Rick had multiple jobs and was retired from Blue Grass Meats. He was a member of Sons of American Legion and loved sports, especially softball. He loved playing his guitar accompanied by his nephews Eric on guitar and Mike on drums. Rick Loved his farm and his family.
Survivors include his sister Cathy Hughes (James) Deardorff, nephews Eric (Colleen) Deardorff, Mike Deardorff, great nephew Jordan (Amanda Deardorff), great nieces Ashly and Cheyenne Deardorff and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held by the family.
