Sue Carol Gillespie (74) of Lexington, formerly of Pendleton County, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. She was born in Falmouth, KY on May 13, 1947, daughter of the late Ike and Edith Taylor Knox.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband Robert Gillespie, siblings Elsie Haddix, Lucille Melton, Gracie Zumwalt, William “Bill” Knox, Richard Knox, Nellie Justice, Barbara Scott, Alma Carroll, Ike Knox Jr, Rebecca Toensmeyer, Floyd Wayne and Lois Jane Knox.

Survivors include her daughter Lisa Gonzalez, son Perry Gillespie, siblings Shirley Duncan, Donnie Knox, Ronnie Knox, Esther Napier, grandchildren Brittany Sizemore, Heather Tenorio, Anthony Whisman, Nathan Gillespie, Ronnie Shields, Christie Dixon, Christopher Sheilds great grandkids Audrianna Garcia, Romeo Garcia, Eliseo Vasquez, Martine Whisman, Alexis Zunin, Edwin Zunin, Leonardo Tenorio, Isaias Duque, Jace Shields, Lakeland Shields and coming soon Layla Sizemore.

Visitation will be held from 11-1pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at Peoples Funeral Home-Falmouth. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm also at the funeral home. Sue’s final resting place will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
