Obituary for William Earl Schafer
William Earl Schafer “Pop” (90) of Alexandria, KY, formerly of Butler, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at The Seasons at Alexandria. He was born in Butler, KY on November 24, 1932, son of the late Ted and Alma Webster Schafer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Lee, Jack and Gene Schafer.
William was a member of Grants Lick Baptist Church, loved UK basketball, Harley Davidson motorcycles and his family.
He is survived by his wife Judy Cole Schafer, son Brent (April) Schafer, grandchildren Taylor (Woody Lincoln) Schafer, Alli (Dan) Yeary, Lauren Schafer and Brendon Crowell.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Service will follow at 11am, Thursday, February 16 at Grants Lick Baptist Church. Williams final resting place will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Grants Lick.
