Winifred Hughes (77) of Walton (formerly of Falmouth) passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. She was born in Kentucky on January 28, 1945, daughter to the late Earl Ray and Stella Mae Smith Fardo. Winifred is preceded in death by her husband Alfred “Pee Wee” Hughes and one son Dennis Draper.

Winifred was a member of Walton Christian church. She worked at the Dollar Store, Barnes Hardware and Southern States for 28 years.

Survivors include two sons Scott (Jennifer) Hughes, Doug (Teresa) Draper, one sister Earlene (Rich) Barker, grandchildren Holly (Stephen) Hutchinson, Matt (Jordan) Draper, Kendra Hughes, Ian Hughes, Ella Hughes, Jaylen Navas and Jarren Navas, great grandchildren Addison Kate Draper, Easton Draper, River LeMay, Emerson LeMay, Clay Hutchinson, Addison Grace Hutchinson, Coltin Hutchinson and Serenity LeMay.

Visitation will be held 4-8pm Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will be held at 10am Thursday, January 26, 2023 also at the funeral home. Winifred’s final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial are suggested to Walton Christian Church 50 S. Main Street, Walton, KY 41094.
